Music possibilities with Wausau Conservatory of Music

Music possibilities...

Mission: The Wausau Conservatory of Music provides exceptional music education and performances that enrich the lives of students and their families, faculty, and members of the community.

Regional Music School

The Wausau Conservatory of Music, an independent non-profit school, opened its doors in 1981 with seven faculty members and 150 students. Today, the school has grown to 30 faculty and staff, and is attended by over 800 students. In 1997 a wing was added to the school to bring the total to 19,000 square feet. The wing provides more teacher studios and rehearsal rooms, and the Caroline Mark Concert Hall that hosts over 40 performances annually.

Community Support

The Conservatory has flourished over the years thanks to the philanthropic support of the community. Annual giving and endowment gifts are critical to the financial success of sustaining the Conservatory in our community. These contributions represent approximately 30% of the funds required to provide high quality music education throughout northern and central Wisconsin. Scholarships and Tuition Assistance

Families are offered a variety of student performance and financial aid scholarships. Talent is not always associated with the ability to pay. Endowment gifts, along with annual giving and financial events, help fund this program. Click here for more information.
