It’s back and we are making the most of it!
June 14-18, 12:30pm-3:30pm
Strings Camp 2021 is going to be a great new experience for mid-level students, primarily grades 6-9. Students will have the opportunity to get back into the excitement of full ensemble playing again, strengthen their technique and musicality, and meet new friends.
Students will work together on a variety of ensemble pieces, as well as receive individual and sectional attention to help them hone their skills.

What you'll learn and discuss
The universe is a symphony that creates harmony with the vibration of our strings.
During the week of Strings Camp, students will work on their skills in the areas of tone and musicality as well as techniques in scales, arpeggios and fingering exercises.
Each day, students will enjoy a variety of opportunities to build their instrumental skills. A typical day includes:
Orchestra Rehearsal – full ensemble
Music Class – ensemble playing, music reading
Individual Sectionals and Group Sectionals
Masterclasses – Exercises, technique, sound quality, playing opportunities
The camp culminates with a concert on Friday, June 18.
Concert attendance policy will follow Marathon County and CDC Guidelines and will be communicated to students and families closer to the camp date.

Strings Camp will be held at WCM, with safety and social distancing protocols as deemed by Marathon County Health Department and the CDC in place.
