The Wausau Conservatory of Music is pleased to announce enrollment openings for Music Together – an international early childhood music and movement program for children from birth through age 7 – and for their parents, guardians and caregivers. Beginning Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10 am, children may begin enrollment now.
This evidence-based program, taught by Angela Sedrak, offers developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasized and encourages adult involvement. Informal singing, chanting, moving, listening and instrument playing are all part of the programming. The activities are encouraged to continue at home via the CD, songbook, and parent education materials included in the cost of tuition.
Music Together is based on the belief that ALL CHILDREN are musical and that an environment of informal participation should be available to them, rather than just passively consume music through recordings and concerts. Music Together also stresses that parents and caregivers do not have to be skilled musicians to be enthusiastic participants. It’s the activity itself that is more important than getting the notes right.
Enroll in the 10 week Music Together program via the website: https://apm.activecommunities.com/wausauconservatory/Activity_Search/music-together/1398 or by calling the Wausau Conservatory of Music at 715-845-6279.
Cost for the program is $129 for the first child and $85 for each additional student in the family. Some tuition assistance may be available. Please contact the WCM offices. lasses will take place at the Wausau Conservatory of Music – 404 Seymour Street, Wausau, WI
