“Rock Infused Orchestra” presented by Wausau Conservatory of Music brings over 180 string orchestra students in grades 6-12 from the Wausau Area together for a day of learning through rock music. After a day of rehearsals and sectional classes, the Rock Infused Orchestra (RIO) students will present a free concert which is free and open to the public on Saturday, January 21 at 3:00pm at the Wausau East High School Auditorium.

String Orchestra students in Marathon County will have the opportunity to experience music in a new way, thanks to a partnership between the Wausau Conservatory of Music, Rock-Infused Orchestra and the string departments at Wausau School District and DC Everest School District.

Over 180 students will be joining for a day of rehearsals and learning. By taking on some of the greatest rock and pop classics, students will learn instrument technique, ensemble playing and music skill. The day will culminate with a live rock concert with amplified sound and lights at 3pm at the Wausau West High School Auditorium.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Rock Infused Orchestra, based out of Appleton, Wisconsin, brings string programs to string orchestra students in Wisconsin through performance-based music camps.
