The Conservatory’s endowment and special funds were created to ensure that we can fulfill our mission — providing exceptional musical education opportunities for our community. You can invest in a child’s musical future by donating directly to one of the current funds listed below. You also have the option of creating a new endowment fund — simply contact us to begin the process.

Wausau Conservatory of Music Fund (1991)
An endowment designed to provide quality arts education through a comprehensive and flexible curriculum designed to meet the needs of all ages. The fund supports the school with the interest from this fund.
Caroline Mark Endowment Fund (2003)
Through a gift through Caroline Mark estate, the endowment funds provide a permanent source of income for the needs of the WCM.
Thelma and John Webb Fund (2012)
This fund is dedicated to Thelma and John Webb’s vision of offering music education of the highest level of excellence in our community. The funds will support programming costs to make music education more accessible to students of all ages and abilities.
Elizabeth Augustyn Conservatory Fund (2013)
A scholarship to a student from Antigo attending WCM. Nomination by Antigo Teachers.
Mary E Dudley Scholarship (2004)
Restricted piano scholarship (named by Ann Applegate).
John and Judy Stevens Scholarship (2013)
The designated purpose of this fund established in memory of John Stevens is to support a student to achieve musical artistic excellence in piano or voice through the Wausau Conservatory of Music.
Tuition Assistance & Scholarships
River Valley Bank Music Fund (2010)
The purpose of the fund is to provide financial assistance scholarships to current students at the Wausau Conservatory of Music.
Bellamy Hamilton Scholarship Fund (2005)
Provides financial scholarships to current students of Wausau Conservatory of Music.
The Lawrence and Frances Egdahl Scholarship Fund (2003)
Given as a gift in their estate plans, the Egdahls developed this scholarship fund to give to individuals in financial need. It was their wish to have the Conservatory use community spirit and giving as guideposts to determine scholarship winners. They were owners of Egdahl Company and next door neighbors of Barbara and Tom Lattimer.
The Millie Fusfeld Endowment Fund (2003)
This fund was given through a bequest in a will. Millie was the owner of Miljay’s Ladies Wear in Wausau.
Barbara A Lattimer Scholarship Endowment Fund
This scholarship is awarded to a college freshman who has undertaken vocal music lessons at the Conservatory and is enrolling as a vocal music or vocal theatre major.
Wilbur and Verdene Thurow Vocal Scholarship
Through a generous contribution from Jack and Susan Szmanda, a scholarship is awarded to a college student who has studied at the Conservatory and is a freshman majoring in vocal music or music theatre.
